About the DuPont schedule
The DuPont schedule is a 12-hour rotating pattern with four crews and a 28-day cycle. Unlike the Pitman, each crew works both nights and days.
One cycle runs: 4 nights on, 3 off, 3 days on, 1 off, 3 nights on, 3 off, 4 days on, then 7 days off in a row. That is 14 work days in 28, an average of 42 hours a week.
The long break at the end of each cycle is the main draw. The tradeoff is the swing between night blocks and day blocks, which many people find harder on sleep than a fixed shift.

Questions
How long is the DuPont cycle?
Twenty-eight days, with four crews. Each crew starts its cycle seven days after the one before it, so every day and night is covered.
How many hours a week is a DuPont schedule?
It averages 42 hours: fourteen 12-hour shifts every 28 days.
Where does the cycle start?
In this generator, day 1 of a crew's cycle is the first night of its four-night block. Employers number the cycle differently, so set the start date to match your posted schedule.
How do I add it to my phone calendar?
Press Download calendar (.ics) to export the next 12 months of shifts, then import the file into your calendar app.
Is there a printable DuPont schedule template?
Yes. Set your crew and start date, then press Print the whole year. You get a 12-month DuPont calendar for your crew, two pages, ready to print or save as a PDF. It uses your own start date, so it matches your posted schedule instead of a generic grid.
Is this my official schedule?
No. It is generated from the standard pattern. Your employer's posted schedule is the one that counts.
