About the Panama schedule
The Panama schedule uses the 2-2-3 rhythm: work 2, off 2, work 3, off 2, work 2, off 3. What makes it Panama is the rotation. Each crew works the 14-day rhythm on day shifts, then repeats it on night shifts, so the full cycle is 28 days long.
Four crews keep one day crew and one night crew on duty at all times. Each crew works 14 shifts every 28 days, an average of 42 hours a week, and never more than 3 days in a row.
Some employers rotate more slowly, switching between days and nights every four to eight weeks instead of every two. If you never switch, you are on the Pitman schedule.

Questions
How often do I switch between days and nights?
Every two weeks in the standard Panama schedule: one 14-day block of days, then one of nights.
How many hours a week is the Panama schedule?
It averages 42 hours, the same as the Pitman and DuPont.
What is the difference between Panama and Pitman?
Both use the 2-2-3 rhythm. Panama crews alternate between days and nights; Pitman crews stay on one shift type.
How do I add it to my phone calendar?
Press Download calendar (.ics) to export the next 12 months of shifts, then import the file into your calendar app.
Is there a printable Panama schedule template?
Yes. Set your crew and start date, then press Print the whole year. You get a 12-month Panama calendar for your crew, two pages, ready to print or save as a PDF. It uses your own start date, so it matches your posted schedule instead of a generic grid.
Is this my official schedule?
No. It is generated from the standard pattern. Your employer's posted schedule is the one that counts.
